Mary Zogleman, DVM

Dr. Mary Zogleman grew up in Wichita. She majored in biology and zoo science and earned her undergraduate degree from Friends University. She worked as a zookeeper at the Sedgwick County Zoo for five years prior to pursuing a veterinary degree. She graduated from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.

Dr. Zogleman practiced in the former Town and County and All Pets Veterinary Clinics of Newton until the fall of 2004. She then provided relief veterinary services in Wichita and the surrounding areas prior to purchasing Great Plains Pet Hospital from Dr. Coleman Scott in January of 2006.

She’s a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Wichita Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Zogleman has a weakness for Australian cattle dogs, puppy breath, gray cats, and chocolate. She enjoys spending time with her three children and stepson and her husband, Tom.

The Zogleman family also includes four dogs, seven cats, one shire draft horse, one pony, and many guppies. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Zogleman enjoys swimming, country walks, meteor showers, photography, riding/driving horses, and touring aquariums and zoos.

“Thank you for sharing your pets with me. It is such an honor to share in the relationships of pets and their families. My goal is to provide the best possible care and to treat your pets as if they were my own.”

Jennifer

Registered Veterinary Technician

Jennifer, our registered veterinary technician, joined us in May of 2000. She obtained her degree in veterinary technology from Colby Community College and another degree in Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas State University.

She and her husband have two daughters, one dog named Kevlar. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets.

“It’s fun to work where you can see such a diverse array of people and pets. To have employment that is enjoyable sure makes time fly by. One minute they are a puppy or kitten. The next, they’re grown up!”

- Jennifer

Donna

Pet Groomer

Donna, our groomer, joined us in 1999. She has over 25 years of grooming experience. She enjoys spending time raising Australian shepherds, participating in dog shows, and therapy dog training with her grandson. Donna has been married to Mark, a fireman, for 24 years. They have four children; three of them live at home due to autism. They also have three dogs named Quinn, Emma, and Jinx and three cats named Feryl, Cyrl, and Beryl.

“Our doctors are great at making pets healthy and happy on the inside. My job is to make them happy and feel good on the outside. Grooming is more than a job to me. It is dedication and the love of animals. I like knowing I’ve done the best I could in making an animal feel and look better.”
